The main theme of the webinar was increasing the ambitions of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) through the integration of the circular economy. The goal of the webinar was to introduce participants to tools and guidelines that assist countries in incorporating circular economy principles into their climate strategies, thereby increasing climate ambitions and advancing the achievement of climate goals in line with the Paris Agreement.

The webinar provided valuable insights into how circular economy measures can be integrated into national climate strategies and reporting. Participants were introduced to new tools and guidelines designed to help countries include circular economy measures in their NDCs.

The webinar was highly beneficial for all participants, offering essential information and tools for integrating circular economy into their climate strategies and NDCs. The presented tools and guidelines demonstrated how circular economy can contribute to reducing carbon emissions and improving economic sustainability, as well as how this approach aligns with the goals of the Paris Agreement. The importance of including circular measures in national climate plans as a key element for increasing climate ambitions and achieving greater results in the fight against climate change was emphasized.

Examples from Colombia and the exchange of experiences from different regions showed how countries can apply circular measures within their climate strategies. The panel discussion encouraged participants to consider the challenges and opportunities in implementing circular economy measures, highlighting the need for global cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

In conclusion, the webinar provided practical guidelines and inspiration for countries seeking to increase their climate ambitions and apply circular economy as a tool for achieving sustainable climate goals. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive additional advice on integrating circular measures into their national climate policies, which will help them effectively implement circular solutions at both local and global levels.

The event was attended by project team member Assistant Bojana Matković, with the aim of learning about the experiences of countries that more intensively finance economic activities carried out according to the circular model.
