NiCE Online Seminar #2 – “The Role of Urban, University, and School Living Labs in Promoting Circularity”

The seminar explored the role of Living Labs (LLs) in fostering circular economy principles and sustainable lifestyles. A key theme was the potential of LLs to engage diverse stakeholder groups, promoting a renewed understanding of well-being and encouraging circular practices.

The session featured three expert presentations:

1.Carolina Innella from ENEA discussed experiences with urban and school living labs.
2.Waqas Mazhar, a PhD candidate at BME, presented insights into the landscape of university living labs.
3.Alessandra Bonoli, a Full Professor at the University of Bologna, shared experiences from an operational university living lab.

Participants engaged in discussions on the operational mechanisms of LLs and their capacity to generate sustainable value, emphasizing the importance of education and awareness in fostering broader participation in circular initiatives.
