The project was presented in the “Brazde”, which has a decades-long tradition and high viewership, and deals with topics in the field of agriculture and rural development. Prof. Mirjana Radovanović, head of the project team, explained the main motives for choosing the project topic, its connection with the Green Deal of the European Union and the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, and indicated the main goals and expected outcomes of the project. The basic results obtained after first year of project implementation are presented, with an emphasis on the results of field research conducted in all regions of the Republic of Serbia, which should provide the input data needed to assess the capacity of rural areas to transition to a circular economy model.
