Prof. Dr. Mirjana Radovanović participated in the workshop and discussion and introduced the project to participants from 21 universities and other organizations outside the Republic of Serbia.

The main topic of the Workshop is energy poverty, which also affects rich countries to an ever-increasing extent.

The problem of energy poverty in rural areas, which particularly affects the elderly and women, is highlighted. It was also pointed out the problem that vulnerable residents of rural areas very often do not ask for help.

The participants of the Workshop expressed their views on the above and the experiences of individual countries in solving the above-mentioned problem, whereby state aid to the inhabitants of rural areas in the form of donations and the installation of solar panels in rural areas proved to be one of the best solutions, and when it comes to the resident’s poor material condition.
